Really like this idea of updated news based episodes, especially if it’s tied into chapters so that apps can mark which chapters have been played and listeners can just carry on from where they were.

It would be great if while playing, the comment button included a timestamp so it was clear if a certain part of the episode was being commented on. Even better if there was an optional setting to display those comments as you reached that timestamp in the episode. Dynamic ad insertion has the potential to disrupt those timestamps, but perhaps that’s an opportunity for increased adoption of transcripts; ‘sticking’ comments to their proper place in an episode.
